** Wholesale Greenhouse Business Begins Hiring Process for the Season in Kingsbury **

(LaPorte County, IN): At the LaPorte County Commissioners’ meeting held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, the LaPorte County WORKS! business report presented Blooms Greenhouse, located in Kingsbury, IN.

“Blooms Nursery offers a person interested in horticulture a great place to work in a beautiful outdoor setting. When we visited them last year for a Business Retention visit, we were not surprised to see the beauty that Blooms Greenhouse had to offer visitors. They have over 35 years of experience in the greenhouse business, and we are so excited to see what the new season has in store for them,” stated Mike Seitz, IOM, Business Retention Manager of the LaPorte County Office of Community and Economic Development.

“Blooms Greenhouse provides the best of what LaPorte County has to offer: beautiful scenery, a variety of jobs for people of all experience levels, and an economic and social impact that positively benefits the citizens of Northwest Indiana. We are delighted to put the spotlight on them because this program is a way of honoring businesses who call LaPorte County home. We highlight local businesses and industries so citizens of all ages and skill sets know they can find a job, grow their careers, and earn a good living right here in LaPorte County.” stated Commissioner Matias.

“We couldn’t be more impressed with Blooms, who is located at Kingsbury Industrial Park, with their production and growth facilities and their vast, open spaces, which gives them plenty of room to continue their efficient growth and expansion. Bloom is also responsible for providing a genuine uplifting of spring, as well as being able to offer the residents of LaPorte County the ability to beautify homes, farms, and businesses with the most fresh and healthy florals, all grown locally and quickly accessible,” stated Tony Rodriguez, EDFP., Director of LaPorte County Office Community & Economic Development.

Past spotlights of the LaPorte County WORKS! program include OTECH Corporation, E-PAK, Filtration Plus, and Peepers. All highlights and local jobs available are featured on the county website at laporteco.in.gov/boards-commissions/laporte-county-works/.
