Michigan City Office
The La Porte Office is closed until further notice. The La Porte Office has been relocated to 302 W 8th ST, Michigan City. Food, septic, well permits and property transfers can be obtained at this location as well as birth/death records. Please visit our Michigan City branch at the courthouse also for birth/death certificates as well as all nursing services.
WATER LAB is now accepting water samples. Sample bottles can be purchased at our 8th Street location in Michigan City. Samples can then be dropped off at the 8th Street office according to the this calendar Water Sample Calendar. Please call 219-325-5563 with any questions.

Corona Virus Information
FREE TEST KITS: Now Available at both our Michigan City and La Porte Offices, M-F 8am-4pm, while supplies last.
Our COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic is now located at our main office in La Porte at 809 State ST (County Complex building) on the 4th floor. Clinic will be open every Wednesday from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Appointments can be made at www.ourshot.in.gov or you can call us at 219-325-5563 for assistance in scheduling. Walk-ins are also welcome.
Pediatric (6 months to 5 years of age) COVID-19 is now available. For more information on COVID-19 vaccinations for children click here.
Children aged 5-11 can now receive a booster dose of the Pfizer Vaccine. As of 5/20/22 a booster dose can be administered 5 months after completing the primary series (second dose). For children aged 5-11 who are severely immunocompromised, a booster dose can be administered 3 months after completing the primary series.

FDA has approved a second booster of COVID-19 vaccines for adults 50 years and older and at least 4 months after their first booster; children 12 years and older who received Pfizer vaccine and had solid organ transplants or who are living with conditions that are considered to have an equivalent level immunocompromise and those who are 18 years or older who received the Moderna vaccine and have the same levels of immunocompromise.
