Due to the COVID-19 situation, all Michigan City Area Schools will be closed for an extended period of eLearning beginning Monday, March 16 through Monday, April 13. Schools will re-open for students on Tuesday, April 14.

All extracurricular meetings, athletic practices, fundraisers, and other events are canceled.

Spring Break will be April 6-10. There will be no eLearning during this time period.

On Monday, March 16, all school buildings will be open during regular operating hours for parents who need to retrieve student medications. The buildings will NOT be open to the public for any other purpose. The MCAS Administration Building will be closed to the public beginning Monday.

A weekly supply of food will be available for each child. This food will include items for breakfast and lunch. An adult must pick up food packets. Food will be available for “grab and go” pick up at Barker, Krueger, Elston, and Knapp from 7:00-9:00am and from 4:00-6:00pm on the following dates (you may go to any location):
Wednesday, March 18 (for 3 days worth of food)
Monday, March 23 (for 5 days of food)
Monday, March 30 (for 5 days of food)

There will be no food distributed during the week of Spring Break (April 6-10)
