PROACTIVE APPROACH FROM THE LAPORTE COUNTY SMALL ANIMAL SHELTER
The LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter, in coordination with the LaPorte County Commission, announces an adjustment to their daily operations. To ensure the health and safety of the shelter’s staff, the shelter will close temporarily to public visitation. Staff will continue regular work hours to provide care for the animals and will continue normal operations assisting LaPorte County residents with animal-related issues. This action is a proactive adjustment to reduce risk to staff which could impact animal care operations. Staff will continue all regular duties.
Please call the shelter at 219-326-1637 for any animal-related issues. We ask for your patience as, like you, we face evolving challenges regarding the current health concerns with Covid-19.
