COVID Testing Site- New Site Information

The LaPorte County Health Department is pleased to announce the opening of a new COVID-19 testing site available to the public beginning this Wednesday November 4^th. The new testing center is located at the Michigan Township Trustees office located at 2601 East Michigan Boulevard, Michigan City. Preregistration is strongly encouraged. Testing is available:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Tuesday & Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Test results are available within 5 -7 business days per Indiana Department of Health.

Free COVID-19 testing is available to all members of the public beginning at 2 years of age regardless of symptoms.

The clinic is a collaborative effort between the Health Department’s Site Director Tamara Brackeen, RN and Michigan Township Trustee Rodney Washington who graciously proposed the trustee’s building location for the free community COVID-19 testing program.
